A Decade of Shakespeare with Entity Theatre: A Journey of Passion, Creativity, and Friendship
As I sit down to reflect on a decade-long journey with Entity Theatre, I am overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude and nostalgia. It’s been ten years since I first walked through the doors of Entity Theatre in 2014, not knowing what to expect, signing up to be assitant director to John and his play — and what a journey it has been! From the nervous excitement of our first rehearsals to the triumph of each successful performance, my time with Entity Theatre has been marked by unforgettable moments, creative growth, and enduring friendships.

The Beginning of a Beautiful Journey
My journey with Entity Theatre began in 2014, and I quickly found myself immersed in the world of Shakespeare. The beauty of Shakespeare’s language, the complexity of his characters, and the timelessness of his themes have always fascinated me. With Entity Theatre, I had the opportunity to bring these classic works to life, not just as an actor but as a part of a collaborative, passionate team.

The Guiding Lights: Cast and Crew
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented people who took on jobs such as assistant directors, stage managers, producers, costume designers, photographers, fight / music / dance coaches, diction coaches, poster designers – and of course, actors. It was an amazing journey to see how an ensemble grew together, one that shares passion for Shakespeare and open-air theatre. And its challenges.
Adventures On and Off the Stage
Entity Theatre has provided a stage for more than just performances; it has been a platform for adventures, both on and off the stage. Whether it was the thrill of an opening night, the camaraderie of cast parties, or the quiet moments of reflection after a show, each experience has left an indelible mark on my heart. We’ve explored new interpretations of Shakespeare’s works, from traditional renditions to modern adaptations, each time discovering new depths to his timeless stories.

Fond Memories and Lasting Friendships
Looking back, the fond memories are too numerous to count. I remember the butterflies in my stomach before my first performance, the exhilaration of receiving the first round of applause, the late-night rehearsals that sometimes turned actors into keen outdoors explorers, having to wade home ankle-deep in rain storms. Or, our Sunday rehearsals, exploring the vastness of the Theatron while being boiled and fried in the heat. Each production brought its own set of challenges and rewards, but the one constant has been the incredible people I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
The friendships forged over the past ten years are among the most cherished aspects of my time with Entity Theatre. We’ve laughed together, learned together, and supported each other through thick and thin.

Looking Forward to the Future
As I celebrate this ten-year milestone, I am filled with excitement for the future. I look forward to many more years of exploring Shakespeare’s works, pushing the boundaries of our creativity, and building lasting memories with this wonderful community.
Here’s to many more years of Shakespearean adventures with Entity Theatre!
